Hi Wray, your advice/input would be much appreciated.
My first progesterone saliva test back in Oct 2014 was 0.7. The aim is to be somewhere between 5.5 and 10. Ideally 8-10.
Commenced on compounded progesterone cream 10mg (level half measure 20mg/Gm strength). I did ask for the lightest dose to start as I am prone to reacting to supplements/medicines. Cream was used at night before bed. Was also given DIM which worked great but after 4-6 weeks caused chronic diarrhoea and had to stop using.
Main symptoms I was looking for relief from were anxiety, poor sleeping pattern, joint pains, mild night sweats/flashes.
Had immediate relief from these symptoms and was extremely happy.
At Dec 2014 progesterone saliva test was 4.5. Everything looked like it was going in the right direction.
At Mar 2015 saliva test had dropped back to 1.3 nmol/L. We agreed that due to this result we should increase my dosage to using the same amount but once in morning and night.
Within about two weeks of commencing this dosage my original symptoms came back abruptly, joint pain, broken sleep pattern, far worse fatigue than originally.
My question is what went wrong and where to from here?
Thanks.
