Sore breasts

by Sigmundi
(usa)

Hello I’ve been using Smokey mountain naturals progesterone cream since my last period. I am 53 years old and get my cycle every 28 days. I use about 140-160mg daily for symptoms that I mentioned in a previous post. But now my breast are swollen and painful...I’m about 10 days before my expected period. Should I continue the progesterone cream? I used through my last cycle because of heavy bleeding

Sore Breasts

Hi Sigmundi

This can happen when first using progesterone. You haven't been using progesterone for long, it takes time for the body to adjust, 2-6 months as mentioned in my previous post to you. Please continue to use progesterone every day with no breaks at all. Once the body adjusts and your cycle returns to normal you can continue to use by following your cycle. You may need to increase the amount of progesterone, experiment and find a level that suits you. You are also in Peri-Menopause and most women find comfort in using progesterone every day. You will have to see what suits you best.

Painful breasts could also mean that you are deficient in iodine.

Use through my period?

Hi there

Yes continue to use the same amount of progesterone throughout your period. Just a reminder that the amount of cream that you are using may not be enough, you may need to use more. You will have to experiment with the amount.

Will high levels of cream stop period?

Ok and also, will using cream at high levels prevent my period and is that not good since lining should be shed monthly?
Thanks again!

Deficiency?
by: Anonymous

Hello thank you for the advice - similar to problem Sigmundi is experiencing. Very similar. Whats this about possible iodine deficiency? Any other similar deficiencies? how does low iodine disturb hormone balance? thanks much in advance ~Katreen
