Side affects

by Sinead

Hi

I'm trying very hard at progesterone therapy. Following all the guidance on dose etc.

I get relief from my estrogenic symptoms from 150mg cream. I'm 47 in peri.

But, my goodness, I get severe side affects from the cream. These are totally different to my estrogenic symptoms.

The cream makes me dizzy and nauseous. I'm only on month 2 at 150mg. Will these side affects calm?

Thanks

Hi Sinead

So many people get confused when they first start using progesterone. You are not suffering from progesterone side effects but rather Estrogen Dominance symptoms. Progesterone is aggravating estrogen receptors and estrogen is fighting back. As this websites states ad nauseum, if the amount of progesterone used is not helping and making you unstable, then increase the amount of cream used. Usually 100-200mg per day is needed. Increase to 200mg and see how you get on. If no relief, then increase again. Experiment and find a level that suits you and your adverse symptoms. You can then reduces the amount of cream to a level that again suits you but never less than 100mg per day. The Dizziness etc will soon settle down as progesterone becomes dominant.

Please make sure that your Vitamin D3 level is optimal as mentioned many times on the website.
