Hi Wray,
I apologize if you have received a similar message. I couldn't tell if my last email went through as my computer shut down.
Anyway, I have been struggling with fertility for four years. I have three children whom I conceived with ease, but I haven't been able to conceive a fourth. I started trying when I was 36 and now I am almost 41!! I have been diagnosed with luteal phase defect and have been taking Prometrium vaginally. However, after reading a lot about natural progesterone cream, I have decided to give it a try.
How do I know how much to take? You say somewhere from 100 to 400 mg? Last month, I did 100 mg, but my period was crampier than normal and my cycle was only 24 days long (it is normally 26/27). I also had a lot of mid cycle cramping. Also, have you heard about the ovarian shut down recommended by Dr. Lee? Apparently, applying progesterone for a few months from days 5-26 brings on a strong ovulation once it is after ovulation. Do you recommend this? I also have insulin resistance and systemic candida. Will progesterone help with this?
Thank for your help. I just feel so hopeless at this point. The fertility doctors have all given up on me.
