Hello, Wray
I am 40 years old, getting a sign of pre-menopause. I don't really have regular cycles, but this past year, it has been very erratic.
Having spotting on and off for a month or so, then have a heavy menstrual bleeding for more than 2 weeks...which has been recurring for over a year. I develop iron deficiency anemia frequently.
Of course I went to see a OBGYN, and went through numerous medical exams, D&C, ultrasound, sonography etc...all came out normal. I have been prescribed 10mg progesterone for 10 days often, which has been justa temporal relief. My gynecologist doesn't want to get me on birth control pills as I still would like to get pregnant. (I have never been pregnant.)
I understand that I have to be on progesterone cream over 2-6months everyday for irregular periods. But I wonder if it is the case if I want to get pregnant. What is the best way to cope with pre-menopause with using your progesterone cream, while I still want to get pregnant?
Thank you,
Marika
