I am 19 years old law student, I suffer from continuos bleeding during men's trial periods , for over a month of bleeding. I have bad acne on my face chest and shoulders and just recently very painful period and thinning hair. i school in dublin Ireland and don't know of a reputable doctor that can help me. My doctor wants to put me on birth control pills , but I think ther n must be a better options.
I am scared I won't be able to have children in the future, I am so worried I can hardly focus. Pls pls can anyone out there help. Is there a progressive doctor in dublin that can help me , can I use bio identical hormones and what wil it do for me?

Firstly, you need to have an ultra sound to see if you have uterine fibroids, or ovarian cysts (PCOS) Just going on BC is not the solution. Bioidentical progesterone may be your answer. But it's vital to get diagnosed so you know what you are dealing with.
Finding a functional/integrative gynecologist would be ideal. But a good place to start is get the transvaginal ultrasound and get the right diagnosis. Also please search here on progesteronetherapy.com PCOS and uterine fibroids in the search bar and read. You will learn a lot.
Do not despair, you will get better. There are wonderful books I can recommend to to read. First is by Dr. Sara Gottfried, The Hormone Cure. It has an amazing Very thorough questionaire section that will shed a lot of light as to what may be going on. She is an integrative Md. Really a valuable book.
