by JENNY
(INDIANAPOLIS, IN)

I'VE BEEN USING JUST PROGESTERONE CREME. NOT WORKING. BOUGHT YOUR ESTROGEN CREME AS WELL THIS TIME. HAVEN'T STARTED IT, AS I'M CONFUSED ABOUT IF MY BODY HAS TOO MUCH ESTROGEN..... BEEN READING ALOT. HOW CAN I HAVE MY PROGESTERONE LEVEL CHECKED NOW , IF I'VE BEEN USING CREMES FOR OVER A MONTH, ITS IN MY SYSTEM?

I'VE HAD TESTS DONE FOR MENOPAUSE. MY FOLLICLE STIMULATING HOMONE IS 53.8
LUTEINIZING HORMONE IS 34.1
MY ESTRADIL IS <19.0 PG/ML

I'VE BEEN TESTED NEGATIVE FOR RHEUMATIOD FACTOR AND ANTI-NUCLEAR AB ANA W/ REFL TITER A PATTERN ANA SCREEN ALL NEGITIVE.
MY KNEE AND ELBOW JOINTS HURT. I'M WEAKER. I'M 53. I STOPPED TAKING BC PILLS AND LEXAPRO 7 MONTHES AGO. I FEEL LIKE I'M 20 YEARS OLDER. MY BODY IS NOT AS FLEXIBLE.

MY CREACTIVE PROTIEN IS 1.1 SO THAT MEANS MY BODY IS INFLAMED RIGHT? I'VE BEEN READING ABOUT ALL THE DIETS I SHOULD TRY TO REDUCE IMFLAMATION.....
NOW SHOULD I USE THE ESTROGEN AND PROGESERONE CREME TOO???? HELP. I HURT. MY FINGERS HAVE BECOME ACHY TOO... LIKE A TIGHTENING.

I HURT, MENOPAUSE

Hi Jenny I would have to know how much progesterone you were using to advise you, but it seems not enough. I recommend 100-200mg/day, dependant on symptoms, were you using as much as this? I think it must have been another brand of progesterone too, as we don't have an oestrogen cream, as I'm very against it. CRP rises if inflammation is present, yours is a bit high at 1.1, see here. It would appear your oestrogen is higher than your progesterone, although you don't give the progesterone level. Oestrogen is an inflammatory hormone, whereas progesterone is an anti-inflammatory. We run Saliva Tests, and from these have found the progesterone to oestrogen ratio should be 600:1 and over to feel well. Saliva tests are the most accurate system, see the ZRT Labs website for more info. Please read our page on Menopause for more info on how to use progesterone. But before you increase the amount you are using please see our page on Oestrogen Dominance Take care Wray
