Fibrocystic Breast Question

by Carre
(CA.)

Hi! I just want to double check - I have the fibrocystic lumps that become more prominent during pms stage. I've been using the natpro. I don't have too many other bad symptoms. I feel good? I get some mild cramping pains as my period is approaching (48, still getting periods) and then the lumps. They don't hurt too bad, but I definitely feel their presence. I have been using about 120mg (1/2 tsp, plus 1/8th tsp I read should be about 40mg and 20mg, respectively) Half in the morning, half at bedtime. I've been adding in anther 20mg (1/8th tsp) mid day (sometimes I forget or I'm not home to do this) to see if maybe I can get the lumps to subside. Is that necessary? Should I be using more to make them go away altogether, or if I feel pretty decent - other than the lumps - should I just continue on at 120mg. Or, should I up the dose when I feel the lumps (pms timeframe) and then go back to my 120mg? I've gone through several pump tubes already and it gets expensive so I'm just trying to ascertain if I feel okay, other than knowing those lumps come around, if I really need to up the dose. Can I expect the lumps to go away with more cream, or the fact that they don't really hurt is the best I can expect? That was long winded .. sorry!

Thank you!
Carre

Fibrocystic Breast Question

Hi Carre

I am a little confused. You mention a pump tube. Natpro doesn't have such a thing. They have a pump dispenser which delivers 50mg on each full pump. Usually between 100-200mg Natpro Progesterone Cream is needed, more if symptoms are severe, see How to use Progesterone Cream.

Progesterone is an excellent anti-inflammatory. Have you tried rubbing some Natpro on your breasts when they are painful? You could also be deficient in iodine. Are you taking this? Please view the video by Dr David Brownstein. I used to have the same thing when I was in peri-menopause. My cysts were caused by lack of iodine and excess estrogen. I no longer have the problem. Please read the page of Breast Cysts.

You are also in Peri-Menopause and progesterone is very much needed as it can be a torrid time.

Oh! Yes .. dispenser, not 'tube'
by: Anonymous

Hi, yes .. sorry. I have the dispenser!!

Thanks for the iodine tip. Ironically, my husband just listened to a podcase that mentioned that exact thing last night. I will look into that for sure.

With proper iodine (potentially) and progesterone, I can expect the lumps themselves to go away? Not just the painfulness that accompanies them at times? Like I mentioned, they don't hurt really, the only noticeable thing nowadays is that they're there. They used to hurt more for no reason. I don't really notice that as much. Am I to 'up' the progesterone if the iodine isn't fixing it then?

Also, about the dispenser, when it's done, it's DONE! Because of it's design, is it safe to say all the cream has been dispensed or is maybe some left in the dispenser and I should break into it? (asking along the same lines of the tubes and the recommendation to cut them open to be sure you're getting every last glorious drop!

Thanks

Hi Carre

Thanks for clearing that up. Iodine is so important and so many do not realise just how important it is. I have been taking it for years and I truly believe that it has prevented me from going on thyroid meds.

The correct use of progesterone and iodine will certainly help but please do not forget Vitamin D3. I should have mentioned that but it is mentioned ad nauseum on this website. Levels must be optimal. A deficiency will reduce the benefits of progesterone. It is also connected to every functioning cell in our bodies making it vital. Never take D3 without the cofactors.

A note on iodine. A protocol must be followed and you will pick this up on Dr Brownstein's video and website. Here is the protocol:

* Lugol's/J Crow's 5% Iodine Drops - up to 50mg
* Himalayan or Celtic salt NOT table salt - 1/2 teaspoon
* Magnesium - 200-400mg
* Selenium - 200-400mg
* Vitamin C - try to get from real food - 2,000-5,000mg

I suggest trying 200mg Natpro as see how you get on. I don't believe that you will need more as you do not have any other issues. The beauty of a cream is that it can be used to suit the individual. Progesterone therapy is not an overnight fix, the same would apply to iodine. Time and patience is needed.

Once the dispenser is 'DONE' it really is done! You can if you like, flip open the base of the container to check.

You are right, it is glorious!

Thank you!! I almost didn't see this, oops!

OH goodness! I'm so glad I came back here to check up on responses. For some reason I thought no one responded to this. I think I was looking for an email notification of a new comment -- anyhow, THANK YOU for the response! Yay!

Okay, I did go to the video you suggested on iodine. Thanks for posting the protocol for me. I'm going to pursue that, with the 200mg of the natpro, and be patient, haha, and see how it goes. Just placed another order!

Thank you kindly,
Carre :)

Hi! Thank you for responding. I actually missed this response, until just today. I thought maybe no one got back to me (I think I was looking for an email notification of a new response, oops!) so never back to look.

Thank you!! I did watch the iodine video. So interesting. I supplement with Vit. D3, but only about 2000iu/day. I haven't gotten my vit d or progesterone levels checked 😬 I plan to. That was super helpful of you to post the iodine protocol. I've saved it and will get those things so I can implement them, with the 200mg of natpro, and some patience - haha, and see how this all goes!!

Your site is such an asset.

Warmest regards,
Carre

Hi Carre

Thank you for your kind words. That is most odd. You should have received an email notifying you that a reply was made. Did you click the box where it says "notify me"?

I am so pleased that you found Dr David Brownstein's video helpful. Please increase your D3 to 5 000iu's as suggested.

Double response post, sorry!

Hi,

No, I may have missed that (clicking the box to be notified) because I saw that this time and was sure to click it, and sure enough, got notified. Ha!

I will increase my D3, thank you!

(and sorry for the double response that just posted. I posted the first one, then my page did some sort of time-out or something, so I didn't think it went through, so I posted another one!)

Okay, thanks again!

Carre
