Biote pellet HRT

by Ashley
(Florida)

I'm 49 and peri-menopausal. I've been feeling so tired and having all the common symptoms mentioned here with peri-menopause. I had my first insertion of pellets 12-11-18, felt like my old self in less than a week. My hair began thinning all over within the first month and by now (2 1/2 months total since insertion) my hair is basically gone at the temples.

I found Wray's blog three days ago and began taking the saw palmetto while awaiting a return phone call from the doctor that inserted the pellets. The hair loss stopped almost immediately. My question is how long do I continue the saw palmetto? I can tell the pellets must have diminished because I'm becoming tired again and the libido has dropped, etc. I've ordered Wray's progesterone cream and I will not be continuing the pellets!

Hi Ashley

I am pleased that you will not be continuing with the pellets. Read this page, it's long but Wray explains things in more detail.

I really can't say how long you should continue with saw palmetto as I do not know much about it. It seems to help some and others not.

Peri-Menopause is a difficult time for most women, if progesterone is used correctly it will help you. Between 100-200mg is needed, more if symptoms are severe.

Please make sure that your Vitamin D3 level is correct as a deficiency reduces the benefits of progesterone. Optimal range is between 70-100ng/mL
