Progesterone at 73?

by Dee
(Virginia)

I suffer from very dry skin. In my quest for a solution to this problem, I came across some reviews from users of progesterone cream. They were positive reviews praising the excellent results they benefited from it. That gave me hope! But now, my question is this: Is progesterone safe for older women?

Thank you for your help.

Progesterone at 73?

Hi Dee

Progesterone is perfectly safe to use at any age. Many women in their 70’s and 80’s use it with great success. Please consider using a good organic progesterone cream such as Natpro which is a 3% cream. Natpro is also excellent when inserted in the vagina at night, it will help with dryness there too. Nothing less than 100mg per day is needed, half that amount in the morning and the other half at night. Please read the Estrogen Dominance and How to use progesterone Cream pages.

Vitamin D3 is very important, a deficiency reduces the benefits of progesterone. Nothing less than 5,000iu's per day is needed. Optimal range is between 70-100ng/ml. Magnesium and vitamin K2 with no soy are important co-factors needed when taking vitamin D3.

when you say use the Progesterone in the vagina, do you mean rub it on the labia walls or actually insert it up inside the vagina where you have intercourse ....

Hi there. I mean to insert (internally) progesterone cream in the vagina. I use my finger to do this, or you could use an applicator.
