Arbonne's Phyto Prolief

by Cathleen
(Burley, Idaho)

Right now I am 61 and I look 45. I have been taking phyto prolief by Arbonne for 12 years. I don't know what to do, they discontinued the product and are not even telling me why. One of the ingrediants is progesterone USP. + all kinds of other natural stuff. It dosen't say the amount of progesterone in it.I don't know if I'm also getting natural estragen in this also. I don't know if I should go off this cold turkey or go on a progesterone cream. This product worked for me I never experience menopause symptoms. And seems to have kept me looking younger. But now I don't know what to do. I was going to stay on this the rest of my life. What do I do now. Please e-mail me at puttytat465@hotmail.com.

I to have been using phyto prolief for several years. I am almost out and starting to panic. Is there anything you can tell me to look for in another product. There are so many out there. I have to use this every night. I am starting to get worried that I might not be able to find a product like this. Tammyleegray@yahoo.com

Arbonne's Phyto Prolief
by: Joy

Hi Cathleen and Tammy. I am unfamiliar with Arbonne. What concerns me though is your statement Cathleen, about not knowing what is or was in the product, or how much progesterone it contained! Progesterone is actually excellent for aging http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/16120154?dopt=abstractplus. I don’t believe that any woman needs to take extra estrogen though as there are over 100 estrogen mimics in our environment as it is, why take more? If Arbonne has been discontinued you will have to wean off it anyway, but I do suggest that you use another progesterone cream while you are doing it, especially if it does contain estrogen.

Do you know what your Vitamin D3 level is? A deficiency reduces the benefits of progesterone and is connected to every single functioning cell in our bodies. Most important, is that co-factors are taken/used when taking vitamin D3, magnesium is considered to be the most important.

Arbonne's Phyto Prolief
by: Phyllis

My sister and I have been using this product well over 20 years. My sister is 84 and I am 78. we both have had hysterectomies in our 50's. Now that this product is discontinued, we fear we will not find a product even similar to it. No one has been aware of our age and firmly believe our younger looking age and energy are due to using this cream. Help!

I am in the same situation. I only have a few bottles left and I am looking for a replacement. I have used it for over 10 years and it was the best on the market. Please keep me posted if you find a similar creme. Thank you.

I have several bottles of Prolief to sell
by: Anita

Hello ladies, I have at least 4 bottles of Arbonne's Prolief balancing cream that I am willing to part with. After it was announced that they would be discontinuing it, I bought 12 of them, but I am now drinking a greens mixture that has been effective for me. (I had a complete hysterectomy). If you are interested, please email me at anitabehrendt59@gmail.com and I'll get back in touch. I was a consultant with the company for 16 years and I can assure you that this product is legit and the products that I have for sale are definitely good!

I am so disappointed
by: Anita

I have used Arbonne's Phyto Prolief for 10 years. My husband says I became his wife again after I started using this product. My thinning hair stopped falling out as well. One incredible treatment was my sister who was diagnosed with Guillain-Barre syndrome. Before this condition, she was vibrant 43 year old. Once it started progressing she could no longer walk without assistance and was steadily losing feeling in her arms. I'll spare you all the other details her doctor tried and just say while reading a book for woman's health I discovered that progesterone is a precursor to many beneficial hormones. She started the cream and within a week she noticed feeling in her legs and feet again. I'm no doctor and was hopeful and estatic at the same time. She noticed whenever she stopped taking it the condition would return. After about 6 mos she stopped purchasing the product. She stayed reasonable healthy but now suffers from RA.

Any Replacements recommended?
by: Debbie

I am so glad to see it isn't just me-- I am having symptoms and was trying to think of what changed and the only thing I can think of is I purchased a pro cream from the health food store and have been rotating between. Arbonne and it -- trying to make it a smooth transition but it isn't going well!

Has anyone found out how to duplicate or a replacement? TIA! :(. I also used this for years and years...

Any Replacements recommended?

Hi Debbie

Apologies for only getting back to you now, this has only just been brought to my attention. You might like to try Natpro Progesterone cream.

Please refer to my post to Cathleen and Tammy back in March 2016 above.

Tapering Prometrium in favor of Progesterone cream or drops
by: AMW

I used Micronized Progesterone (generic for Prometrium, a "BioIdentical progesterone capsule") together with Estradiol patches for many years, tapering down as much as I could over time. I then read about Estrogen dominance and managed to wean myself off the estradiol while continuing the Prometrium, reducing my hot flashes with the help of a Molecular Progesterone Complex (liquid, dispensing 3 mg. of bioidentical progesterone per drop).

I continue to take Prometrium every other day, but also use the MPC (progesterone drops) on the off days. My acne and hot flashes have finally disappeared, so I think I have overcome estrogen dominance, but I'm concerned that I may be taking too much Progesterone. How can I wean off the Prometrium in favor of the drops or a cream? The capsules cannot be cut and last time I tried to space it out I got depressed and my hair came out by the handful.

apering Prometrium in favor of Progesterone cream or drops
by: Joy

Hi AMW

I am so pleased that we no longer use estrogen as it adds to estrogen dominance symptoms. While Prometrium is a natural progesterone, it's oral and the least effective Delivery method, the same applies to drops. Most of it gets destroyed by the gut and liver. I recommend 100-200mg per day, dependent on symptoms, and in a form which is absorbed well such as a good natural cream such as Natpro. You might find 100mg is not sufficient when switching so you may need to use 200mg. I suggest that you stop using Prometrium and go straight to using a cream, no need to wean off as long as you replace with a cream. Please read the How to use Progesterone Cream page.

Photo Prolief was a life changer
by: Teacher

I used Phyto Prolief for years and was totally relieved of sweats, dryness etc. I used to hope that Arbonne would start making it again but that has not happened to my knowledge. I wish there was another cream available!

Hi Teacher

Please read my reply on this thread and consider trying Natpro Progesterone Cream which is organic and a 3e.33% progesterone cream. It will help you with your adverse symptoms. There is no need for you to be suffering like this. So many women switched to Natpro after Arbonne stopped producing it.

Take care.
