Progestrone and ovulation?

What is the safe dose of progesterone in the cream that can be used in the follicular phase to block ovulation (25-50-100mg)?
I was thinking about using a very small amount of ointment for ovulation, and after ovulation already 200mg, which helps me a lot. But without the cream when it is already menstruation I have headaches and I am nervous.
I have PCOS and I no longer want to block ovulation using a whole cycle cream (I used that half a year).
