Can Progesterone cream bring back periods?

by Lynsey
(UK)

I have PCOS but was tested for IR and I don't have it. I haven't had a period for two years now. Is there a chance progesterone cream can help with this?

Also, since I haven't had a period in two years I have no idea what day of my cycle I'm on, so how would I know which days to put the cream on?

Thank you!

Can Progesterone cream bring back periods?
by: Wray

Progesterone is always low in PCO, so it's vital, so is a possible change of diet. Please see this web page.

As you have no cycle it's best to choose the average which is 28 days. If your natural cycle is longer or shorter it will right itself in time. So start the cream when you get it and use it for the next 14 days. Then take a break of 14 days, and start again on day 15 for the next 14 and so on.

Please be patient as it does take time. It is essential to use enough too, between 100-200mg/day, the higher dose is often necessary. Although they say you don't have IR, it is difficult to pick up so please read this web page.

And please consider taking the amino acids arginine and cysteine, as indicated in the paper above. Take care, Wray
