I was diagnosed with womb cancer at the end of 2009. My treatment involved a radical hysterectomy followed by chemo and then external radiotherapy.
As a result of the hysterectomy I went into sudden menopause at the age of 46.
I have been advised by my GP to avoid soya products and any over the counter or herbal supplements as my cancer was oestrogen driven.
I run a support and awareness organisation here in UK for women in a similar situation as myself and there are many who suffer far worse than myself with menopause symptoms, but their GPs can offer them little or no help and they are being told to "just get on with things"
It's very hard to find accurate advice to be able to give them as there is a lot of conflicting information out there.
