Dear Wray~ Please respond as soon as you can... How would you respond to a Gyno Dr who states the following..
"I'm caught between a rock and a hard place with oral vs. cream. I know cream would be optimal but I frequently get low P4 levels when I check serum levels and I'm not aware of any standard reference range for salivary testing that would suggest adequate endometrial protection. In addition, many women do get the improvement in sleep with the oral preparation. So I mainly use oral but will go to cream or troche if oral isn't working."
Ive been trying as a pt to advocate for cream vs orals. Could you briefly explain the science of what happens when orals are taken vs cream besides that orals are destroyed in the gut up to 90%? Does orals offer the same protection against ovarian cysts, uterine fibroids, breast cancer, PMS? I want to give her a thorough explanantion as to why cream is so much better.
Thank you soo much!
Diane
