Periods again? I'd rather not...

Hello Wray, what an informative website! Before I plunge into progesterone therapy there are a few things I would appreciate you clarifying:
- does using progesterone cream mean my periods will return ad infinitum? Being 49 and menopausal I have thoroughly enjoyed being period-free for the last six months.
- am I correct in thinking that it is applied in gradually increasing amounts for fourteen days and then not at all for fourteen days, etc?
- would I have to use the cream for the rest of my life?
