Hello,
I am 47 years old, and very frustrated! At the age of 40, I was in full-blown menopause and miserable. If there was a symptom, I had it! My doctor had told me about the pellet implants the year before, so knowing they could relieve my symptoms, I was more than happy to get them. And, they were a God send! After getting implants every 3 months for 2 years, and taking 100mg of prometrium every day, my doctor decided to do some routine blood work. My blood sugar was 367. I have been struggling with my blood sugar for the past 4 years. I have been tested for types 1, 2, and 1.5 (LADA). I have tested negative for all types. I have the opposite of insulin resistance - I am extremely sensitive to it. If I use 3 units, no matter what I eat, I have a low. I do not have antibodies attacking the insulin I do make, so I don't have 1.5 (LADA). I definitely do not have type 1. I am not, nor have I ever been overweight; I am active....it makes no sense to me. The only thing that changed in my lifestyle was the HRT. Has anyone else experienced blood sugar problems? I am desperate for answers! Thank you in advance!
