Carrying Progesterone Cream When Away From Home

by Fred Bailey

Wray,

What is the best way to carry a small amount (one dosage worth) of progesterone cream when you know you are going to be away from home during the time you would normally apply it? I'm a man so carrying the tube with me is not an option since I would have to keep it in my pocket.

I would imagine using a small one-inch in diameter glass cosmetic container would be the most healthful, but glass can break. A similar-sized but plastic container would be convenient, but I would guess that the plastic might seep into the cream, which wouldn't be very healthful.

Some ideas I've had is to line a small plastic container with a small swath of wax paper making sure the cream touches only the wax paper. I don't believe wax paper would pose any health risks. But then again, I'm not sure, which is the reason I am asking you.

Do you have any recommendations?

Thank you.

Get a small syringe with a cap from your pharmacy. It fits nicely into the Natpro opening if it's the right size syringe and will also slip into your pocket. Maybe ask for a variety of sizes. Compounding pharmacies are probably your best option.

The cream container is plastic!

But I think if you sealed your waxed paper in aluminum foil, that would be both reusable, and more secure.

I used to do that when putting pickles in my lunch bag. The foil seals much better than anything else, and is reusable and recyclable.
