Hi Gigi I'm not sure what you mean. I said progesterone is not dangerous and can be used to decrease hemorrhoids. So endogenous progesterone would not cause them. Take care Wray

There's a website called babycenter.com making an unsubstantiated claim of a cause and effect relationship between hemorrhoids during pregnancy and progesterone, maybe that's where this is coming from. Accuracy and reliability of that site's info would be in question; there are no citations or references for their statements.

Hi there Many thanks for this. I do question the validity of the relationship, as, taken to it's logical conclusion, all pregnant women should get piles. We make over 400ng/ml per day during the third trimester of pregnancy. More than enough to cause piles if this was true. Take care Wray
