This is a tricky one if your cycle is irregular. Progesterone Levels should be tested 7 days after ovulation or before bleeding in all women when progesterone peaks mid-luteal phase. The rest of the month it's low, or rising in the early luteal or falling in the late luteal, so it's pointless taking a test at any other time. Please read the Hormone Testing page. I can only suggest that you try to work out when your '7 days after ovulation' is and then test.
Irregular bleeding usually occurs when in Peri-Menopause. If you are not using progesterone, please consider using a good organic progesterone cream such as Natpro with is a 3% cream. Please read the How to use Progesterone Cream page should you decide to try it.
