Help

Help, I am a menstruating woman who has been reading your site and started using your progesterone cream. Then I found this link that says progesterone cream causes cancer and that there is no proof that it helps with PMS... http://www.gaiaresearch.co.za/progesteronecancer.html

Also it says that if you normalize the adrenals first that you will not need to use progesterone cream. It says if you use too much, disruptions can occur in your hormone balance. "The use of topical progesterone without medical supervision is concerning because of the possibility of increased risk of coronary artery disease, stroke, thrombosis and breast cancer." "Aberrant progesterone may, through bio-modulation, affect endogenous progesterone production. Despite all of these avoidable lifestyle factors, it is in fact extremely rare to suffer from an oestrogen excess/progesterone deficiency, as claimed by advocates of ‘natural’ progesterone cream." "Some epidemiologists believe that high levels of progesterone may be a risk factor for breast cancer.” Help. I am worried sick.

Hi Patricia That website is dreadful, and I wish it could be removed from the internet. Years ago I gave the link to a naturopath in the UK, who's prescribed our cream for 14 years now, and she dismissed it as nonsense. Progesterone has been used safely for over 60 years now, with not one adverse report being published. Dr Dalton used up to 2400mg/day for her patients with post natal psychosis. Over 1200mg/day are given via IV transfusion to brain trauma victims. It's been used successfully for Cancer. Progesterone prevents CAD, see here. It prevents clots forming, see here and here. And helps stroke victims, see here, here, and here. I've found progesterone excellent for helping the adrenals, as these have to make progesterone before converting it into cortisol, one of our stress hormones. If stressed the adrenals rob other sources, notably the ovaries. This then upsets the reproductive cycle, in fact stress can stop ovulation. Which of course stops further progesterone production. There are now millions of women using progesterone, in the many different Delivery systems it's found in. I doubt they would still be using it, or benefiting from it, if it caused all the problems the website states! That is a South African site, so if you live in SA, you might like to get in touch with Joy who lives there. She can be contacted via her website, see here. Take care Wray

Thank you so much for your reply. I was so worried. Could you say a little more about this statement. I don't understand how this affects me physically although I'd like to.
